We have four old servers that will need to be replaced soon. What is a virtual server and how is it going to save me money? Can you install it in our office?

Last Updated: 11 years ago in Virtual Servers – Return to Knowledgebase

Virtual server is an example of one of the best technologies available to save on hardware costs for small and midsize companies. We have completed multiple projects using virtual servers. In one instance we replaced multiple seven year-old servers with two new (clustered) virtual servers that were hosting the operating systems of the older servers. The idea is that instead of having each server running in its own physical box, you get one powerful server that has the ability to run multiple instances of server OS. Performance of these servers is way better compared to older servers, and you have the ability to move the virtual images from one server to another with ease. Please call us if you have any questions regarding virtual servers, and we can meet with you to review your network and discuss a solution.
