We are a small company with only 10 users. No one is going to hack us – right?

Last Updated: 9 years ago in Security – Return to Knowledgebase

That was the old way of thinking. Not any longer. If you have an IP address, and you are connected to the web, a hacker doesn’t know yet how big is your company. What they do know is how to run scripts that will scan the web, all day and all night – looking for security holes. We find that small companies with no IT staff, turn out to be the most vulnerable since they have no resources or knowledge to protect themselves. If you are a small business with an accounting program, you may have your clients credit cards on file, or other juicy information that hackers love to get. A hacker will not spend too much time breaking into to a complex and secure enterprise client, but will instead look for low hanging fruit – and small businesses without proper protection are exactly that. We have many clients that are small businesses and we provide security services for them. Call us for help and we can take care of your security needs as well.
