How often should we change our passwords?

Last Updated: 9 years ago in Security – Return to Knowledgebase

The answer varies from one company to another, but in general we recommend every six months. The reason for that is that in the event that there are employee changes, you may have some passwords exposed. In addition, changing passwords every six months limits the opportunity for hackers to break into your system with old stale passwords. You should follow best practice recommendations about the complexity of your passwords. We can advise you on this and find the best practice for your company.
