My laptop dropped screen dropped and the screen cracked. What should I do?
It is unfortunate when this happens. The cost of replacing a screen can be expensive and in many cases not worthwhile. The more important question is if the hard drive got damaged while the laptop took a hit. Often a spinning drive will end up causing severe damage to the platters as the read / write heads scratch the surface. If this happens to you, we suggest turning the power off, removing the battery out of the laptop and bringing the laptop to our lab for further inspection.
