I believe my computer got infected – what should I do now?

Last Updated: 11 years ago in Viruses – Return to Knowledgebase

The first thing you want to do is to disconnect your network cable (or turn off the wireless). You want to isolate the problem from potentially spreading further. Call us. We will need specific details about the infection type to recommend the best process of removing it. In certain cases we can remotely connect to your computer, and in others we will need to have the system scanned and cleaned in our lab.
