Should I purchase a Windows 8 Pro computer, or stay with Win 7 Pro?

Last Updated: 12 years ago in Servers / Workstations – Return to Knowledgebase

Based on our experience with both operating systems, and compatibility with older applications used in offices – we are still recommending the use of Win 7 Pro. It is rock solid, been around for about 5 years, and we know it works. We can’t really say that about Win 8 Pro – yet. If all of your applications and hardware (such as printers) are compatible with Win 8 – you can give it a try.  Just keep in mind that there is more risk of what might not work with Win 8. We can assist you to make the best decision for your office. It is important to have an experienced engineer reviewing your office configuration and your hardware to determine what will work best. Call us, and we will be happy to help.
